Foodbank Warehouse Manager – Job Description
Responsible for: Managing the operation of Doncaster foodbank warehouse
Location: Kirk Sandall, Doncaster
Salary: £22,425 per annum (pro rata for part time hours)
Part-time: 16 hours per week (flexible across the week with some occasional weekend working)
Temporary / permanent: Fixed Term 2 years; thereafter, subject to securing additional funding
Overall responsibility of the job: Leading a team of volunteers, ensuring effective stock control and arranging timely transportation of collections and deliveries. Ensuring legislative standards in Health & Safety/Environmental Health are met. Work in association with Foodbank Centre Manager/Supervisor to ensure they receive an efficient service of support with food and other provisions and work effectively with the Project Manager.
Must hold a full, clean driving licence as role involves regular driving of the foodbank van to collect food donations from donors and deliver stock to our foodbank outlets.
Must be computer literate to a good standard, use email, ability to type reports as and when required so a good standard of English is required. Must be able to interpret stock data and use our database. Should have experience of managing a small team and will be required to attend meetings regularly with colleagues and contribute effectively and professionally.
As we are a registered charity that operates a national non-profit franchise operation, we expect a high standard of operation and conduct and the postholder is expected to follow policies and procedures accordingly.
